Shisha Charcoal
Shishaland NZ offers a selection of natural and eco-friendly charcoal made from compressed coconut shell husks. Coconut charcoal is most preferred for heating up shisha molasses, as it gives you maximum heat with minimal ash residue. Although it requires higher heat and takes longer to heat up than other charcoal options, it burns up to three times longer which is perfect for an hour long shisha session. We offer CocoNara, EcoNara, BroNara, and more! We have charcoals that are different in size, quantity, and shape to choose from. Due to the organic matter in coconut hookah charcoal, you will also notice a huge difference in flavour as coconut coals do not release as many harmful toxins or additives to your shisha sessions and they will burn at a lower temperature, so you don’t need to worry about scorching your shisha. Hence providing you with natural full bodied flavourful smoke. We recommend letting your charcoal ignite completely before placing it on your foil or heat top management system and allow it to release all the fumes from the binding agent of the charcoal. In order to experience the best shisha session, allow three to five minutes, depending on the quantity of charcoal pieces, then you can start smoking or inhaling. For large bowls you can use three pieces to initially heat up your shisha faster and then remove a piece, once it has heated up, controlling the heat with two pieces, using the side stacking method. For beginners, always place charcoal on the edge of the bowl, making sure to avoid the middle of the foil as it will restrict airflow and can char your shisha, which would result in a harsh smoke.
